Stay Positive during the COVID-19 Pandemic
Share
COVID-19 has shaken the entire world. The positive cases are multiplying at an alarming rate, and so are the deaths. Countries such as Italy, Spain, France, and the USA are showing some of the worst numbers in the record.
After originating and wreaking havoc in Wuhan, China, the disease spread across the globe. It didn’t long for the world to declare it a pandemic. People were asked to stay indoors, maintain social distance, and avoid going out to crowded places.
The instructions have caused yet another round of panic. People went on a buying spree, which resulted in the supermarkets becoming empty and bare, with no stock left. Most of you would have seen the memes about toilet paper rolls and hoarders who stocked them enough to last for a lifetime.
During the dire and dark circumstances, people are doing their best to find humor in odd ways. It is not easy when you think about what would happen next. With COVID-19 showing no signs of letting us go from its grip (even if China seems to have recovered), it is not surprising that the world’s economy is going to take a hit.
Some countries are going to suffer more than others. While there is nothing much we can do about it, we can still try to be positive and spread some smiles on the internet. Why the internet? Because we are still following the norms of social distancing and staying at home in self-quarantine, we have to rely on our favorite mode of communication.
Here are a few things you can do to stay positive during the COVID-19 pandemic.
-
Watch Funny Videos
- There is no dearth of funny videos on YouTube. Some of them are quite small and take only a few minutes of your time. But the resulting smile can stay with you all day long. If you are a pet lover (especially, a cat person), you would already know about the almost neverending stash of funny cat videos available on the internet.

Find Old Friends and Make New Ones
- You definitely don’t have to step out of the house for this one. Social media is an interesting place where you can launch a search party to find your long-lost old friends and make new ones with similar tastes and interests. Even those who were previously not interested in social media are now spending time scrolling through the posts and reconnecting with their childhood buddies.
-
Send Gifts Online
- So what if you cannot share a plate of cookies or sandwiches with your neighbors? What if you can’t meet your friends in person? Have online parties. Send them surprise gifts to cheer them up. Elbis NY is offering a special discount of 15% to those who purchase gift cards from us. Does your friend or loved one like sparkling, trendy, party wear dresses? You know what to do.
-
Relax, Unwind, and Slow Down
- Yes, yes, we added too many things to the same point. But they aren’t much different from each other. Make use of this break and take a deep breath. Slow down instead of rushing through your daily chores. Savor the first cup of coffee, enjoy the time with your loved ones, and watch Nature bloom through the windows.
Don’t let COVID-19 turn you into a sad, hopeless person. Stay strong and show that you are going to fight and win. Don’t forget to wash your hands, use a sanitizer, and stay indoors.
Stay safe and stay healthy.
